Today Grace is 6!

Her new big girl bike!

Ladybug cookies for her Kindergarten class! The party theme this year is ladybugs.

What is it about a birthday that makes you remember the first time you held that tiny little baby? I can remember every detail of what I told her and her tiny little face peeking out from the tightly swaddled blankets. She'll always be my little angel.

Happy Birthday, sweet girl! And you just have to share how you made the ladybug cookies. Those would be perfect for Laura to take to school for her birthday!

Hi Angie,

I bought the ladybug cookie cutter at Hobby Lobby. I use the Betty Crocker sugar cookie recipe. The frosting is white homemade cream cheese icing, sprinkled with red sugar, premade Betty Crocker chocolate cookie icing in the little bag with the tip that I piped for the head & wings, black M&M's (little plastic boxes in the WM candy aisle), and mini chocolate chips for the eyes. Grace was in charge of the spots & the eyes. Poor baby dropped the Tupperware box walking from her locker to her classroom but they salvaged enough for each kid to get 1/2 a cookie.

She looks SO grown up on her big bike! I love Oscar's "look" he's giving it :) I can only imagine how crushed Grace must have been to have dropped the cookies. I'm taking ice cream sandwiches to school tomorrow for Natalia's treats.
